I must admit. This is an effective site. I admire the time spent doing the animations, which explain a lot. I encourage to enrich this site with mor sophisticated simulated animation. One good suggestion, is to choose a plant (Hydrolics for example), and then try to simulated the whole plant showing water tank levels, well levels, temperatures and pressures, etc.... using Visual Basic. This will definitely enrich this site. I learned a lot. Thank you a lot. Hussein Salloum, M.S.E.E. P.E.

I am a registered member of PLCs.net for quite some time. This is an excellent initiative and I should thank Phil Melore for creating such an useful forum for control / automation engineers. Phil, could you add the following features to make the site more useful? 1.Facility to filter and print selected responses for the posted messages. The person who initiated the message would like to print and store the replies. But not all the responses would be worth keeping. 2. Improvements on job site to make it easier to search. Currently it is too basic for any productive use. Thanks Kailash Mariappan

Excellent guide to PLCs! Thanks. Regarding the way you explain the EXOR function (re: http://www.plcs.net/chapters/boolean24.htm), (I am no expert myself at explaining things) but perhaps this is a better way of explaining it. A EXOR B gives a "1" result if A is different from B. Kind regards Khim.

Just learning PLC's and your online tutorial is a great place to start. The information is easy to understand. I did however find one small error. On the "Number Systems" page in the tutorial, in the Octal paragraph below the Binary Number Conversions table, you stated that "binary 11111111 is only decimal 257." I believe that should be 255, if I remember correctly from my Navy training 20 years ago. Not trying to be a wise #@*, just figured you'd like to keep the info as accurate as possible. Thanks for the great site.

Excellent site. My prior knowledge was poor and it gave me a firm grounding in my research on PLCs. The animated sections were excellent and each page was laid out simply enough so as not to overburden the reader at any stage.
