Herl Peterson <john.smith@hotmail.com> Bielefeld, Ohio USA - Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 22:45:27 (EDT) This site has been helpful a few times already. So I decided to join to help support it. Where I work I see 30+ years of automation equipment everyday. I've been a controls engineer for 30 years and I can't remember everything or know everything so it helps to have a community to discuss problems with. I have some sort of sickness. Lol

you seem to focus entirely on
ladder logic.
Were you planning an update to
include other languages,
particularly the modern
languages of FBD and SFC that
offer so much more flexibility
that LL.

WHYY USA - Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 05:49:38 (EST) Hope I found the correct site. One of the family members acquired a used Reverse Osmosis unit for maple sugaring which uses a Pico 1760 series A controller and wants to do some program mods. Would like to use PicoSoft but no comm cable. Does anyone have the pinout of the 24 pin male header that both the PC cable and memory module use. I can wire up an RS232 interface cable but need the pinouts to do so without disassembling and reverse engineering. Thanks for any assistance.

Useful <waver_tech@mail.ru> ST. PETERSBURG, ST. PETERSBURG Россия - Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 06:53:56 (EDT) Good day
The reason for my email is to try to solve a doubt that we have with a tablet of inputs and outputs with IO-Link.
Following the manual provided by PF, it indicates that to access the Indexes and Subindex of any sensor, it is necessary to execute CIP messages. See. Fig. 1
Illustration 1: IO-Link Handbook Page 53
We are working with an Omron NX102-1020 CPU. We have managed to access the Process Data and all the available parameters by Ethernet IP.
Hope you can help us solve this doubt. Greetings.

Ver. Fig. 1

grifobe conduite Ohio USA - Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 15:27:25 (EST) I have followed your PLC
tips for years, thanks so
much for sharing your
experience with us.
I have recommended you DVD's
to many that are learning
PLC code.
Your Tip today about using a
MIX has gave me the
assurance, that my code MIX
is good.
Many in maintenance don't
understand Structured Text
or Function Block, but like
you said. When doing a lot
of Math it is the only way
to go.
A future tip could be on the
PLC work load or TASK, I
often use the smaller memory
PLC's to do a controls to
many drives on a Modbus
Ethernet system.
And repeating a Function
Block can eat up all the
memory.
So my code is written in a
way that it scans a section
at a time, that keeps the
PLC processor work load from
maxing out.
I've done this on Drawing
lines (five ABB drives) and
needling looms (five drives,
lot of math)
Most of my experience is
with ABB PLC's, ABB drives
and Red Lion touch screens.
(love the ability to do "C"
programming in the touch
screens)

Viqar <viqar@paksuzuki.com.pk> Karachi, Karachi Pakistan. - Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 01:19:46 (EDT) Thanks for providing this useful free plc simulator. But it has the following problems. When you add a parallel rung the the simulator no longer works. The addresses you put in keep changing ie from I/0, I/1 and I/2 rename themselves to I/1, I/2, I/3 when you do some trivial thing like add in a new rung. Its a shame because everything else on the site is very helpful. Perhaps someone can fix this or recommend another free online simulator ? :D
