soe lwin <vimsoelwin@yahoo.com> Subang Jaya,, Selangor Malaysia - Monday, December 17, 2001 at 01:14:55 (EST) I've always installed plc systems when overhauling a piece of equipment, but have never been involved in the programing . I tried to study the Omron manuals, but I'm no phd...Your site has made it crystal clear to me, and I just ordered the book. I can honestly sit in front of CX-Programmer now and confidently write a simple program that I know will work. That to me is very rewarding! Thanks a million.

Bill Wilson <wombatbill@yahoo.com> Sydney, NSW Australia - Friday, August 10, 2001 at 16:58:05 (EDT) A fine attempt to have a knowledge base but it seems all who come in here have little or no knowledge. An attempt should be taken to add features to the site, like examples, the staright talk about the "no-name" brand of PLC's and not to use them because you are just setting your self up for pain in the end when you have to pull off the no name brand an put on an AB, or OMRON, or Siemens, etc. Big names with big tech support for all your questions. Again this site should expand if it wants to be the "SOURCE" and not just here to sell a book. I could tell you a lot about PLC programming, but until you have to program a machine to actually run production, you ain't seen nothing yet.
Basically I wouldn't recommend this site because if you have ever programmed a PLC you would find this site boring and misleading.
A word of advice- email in programs so all can see and learn at the same time. PLC programming is not taught its developed based on each persons personality and past programming experiences. I have spent much time developing Standard PLC programs that I can use on any application and share these to all I meet, to better the programmers I work with. Its all about working smarter not harder

A terrific source of basic information. Why couldn't the manufacturers do this? I spent several weeks doing the course at a local university, but your site was much more informative than the course.
The only thing it could suggest adding, is some details of DIY PC to PLC interfaces to enable programming via the PC, and perhaps a source for the software.
The only thing I would add, is I that

Keith Godden <keithg1uk@yahoo.co.uk> USA - Thursday, July 05, 2001 at 03:20:22 (EDT) Can you please review you animation on the one shot logic. I think it will confuse beginners because in rung 2 after the one shot goes true the second time you show NO 1001 & NC 1001 both being false. In actuality The NO 1001 in rung 2 should be true from the previous scan.
Please check & verify and let me know if I am wrong.....

I am a mechanical engineering student with no prior knowledge of PLC's. At work today, one of our machines burned out a solenoid control. Our chief electrician was patient enough to explain what happened in the PLC, but admittedly, I was lost. Your site helped me decipher the technical lingo. Thanx!

zenna <windcyber@lovemail> semarang, indonesia - Saturday, May 12, 2001 at 10:10:36 (EDT) Just found your PLC Tutor site today, looking through it and its pretty cool. I like the animations, now I can see what is happening and I don't have to search the back of a book for definitions, the animations make it all click in my mind. I see!!!!
Keep up the good work. I ordered the book, looking forward to learning more so I can apply it to my job and get better job opportunities. I can read fast, but its the understanding that I need help on and the visual examples make it a reality.
Thanks Phil
Todd

So this site is invaluable to me! For example, no one has ever mentioned that each rung is executed in sequence.
You've done me a great service. I used to do this stuff with relays (hundreds) as a kid, and it was really fun.
