Finely, a plc site that gives you real answers! Iv'e been programming for about three years and I would like to have any information on the Siemens Simatic S5 and S7 plc's. I have been using Mitsubishi FX series PLC's and the MEDOC programming software. So I'm trying to acclimate myself with Siemens STD programming techniques. I know their wed site is a source of information, but would like to have some more programming examples.

This site gave me the initial information on which I am building a laboratory automation business. The good news about PLCs is their power to automate. The bad news is how few people know about them. I dream of making PLCs readily useable by just about everybody. Thanks, Phil, for bringing us closer to that sensible state.

Your site is fantastic, just what I needed. The only comment that I can think of as a slight improvement would be to slow down your animations. I thoroughly enjoy this site. I just completed a course at Middle Tennessee State University this spring on PLC programming and I'm hooked. On numerous occassions I directed students in my cless to this site for direction and clarification in their gray areas. I also suggested the book, which I purchased myself. It was more useful to me than the text!! I am glad to see that you will be adding a feature to allow users to post ladder diagrams. I was surprised at the amount of responses I received for my program problem I posted on the interactive Q&A board. THanks for maintaining a great site Phil.

I'm a student currently working at a power supply company. I'm undertaking a project to develop a test rig to test control panels. I've never had any exposure to plcs before and I was a little concerned about my lack of knowledge of plcs (not just programming them, but what they are and how they work). Fortunately I found this site and now I think I know enough to be able to get on and finish my project! Thanks heaps.

This is probably the best site in the world. It has a certain quality that is sadly lacking in other plc sites, namely info that can be understood (sometimes). I have spent countless seconds studying these plc's when I realised there must be an easier way, and praise be to the almighty logic controller in the sky there is. I have seen the light, it is a warm and welcoming light that is spreading acrosss the land. And when my plan is complete I shall reward those who have asssisted me in my quest. That quest at the moment remains unknown to everyone including myself. Seeing that it is such a miserable shitty day here in the quaint and magical land of Ireland I think I will go and get violently drunk and sort out that gang of leprechauns that stole the front wheel off my bicycle...
