I am located in Northeast Wisconsin. I am in the final year of a 5 year Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship which will be completed in May '24. I have taken all of the Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright and Industrial Electrician courses through this program. I am planning to get my Master Electrician License in the state of Wisconsin, and I will also be receiving my Technical Worker Associate's degree. I have 8 years of manufacturing experience, with 4 of those being in maintenance, and 2 years working on PLCs. I have excellent troubleshooting skills and looking to get more involved with PLCs. My current experience has me fluent with RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, AutomationDirect Productivity Suite, Koyo Click, and AutomationDirect C-MORE; I also have used Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and know some Python. I am currently a PLC tech at Burke in Nevada Iowa. We are a meat processing facility. Right now I work an overnight shift from 10pm to 6am. I am looking for a new opportunity for a few reasons. Firstly, as a single father I would like to have a more normal schedule that is conducive to that of your average 5 year old. At the moment I am having to rely a lot on my parents for help in regards to caring for my son and I need that to change. Also I have lived in this area for my entire life and due to extenuating circumstances have been essentially trapped here for the last few years. Fortunately recent events have changed that situation and I am no longer restricted by certain custodial matters that were in dispute. I am confident in my ability to meet expectations in my current role, however I would not go so far as to say I am particularly enthusiastic about my current schedule.
