"MeDoc program size"
I am trying to look at a large ladder with the 1.52 Medoc programming software but I keep getting a "not enough memory" error. My pc has windows 98. Have tried all the usual tricks to free up conventional memory, but believe this is the wrong path.

The MeDoc software is DOS based, and won't recognize most of your memory. It isn't that ytou don't have enough memory, it's just that DOS wouldn't recognize it above 640 K (seems quaint, doesn't it) without extended memory or enhanced memory drivers. One solution path is to upgrade Mitsubishi's newer software. If you don't want to do this, I sugget you contact Mitsubishi for the work-around. We use the MeDoc with Win 98, but only on small programs.

One thing we always do whenever MEDOC does'nt behave... we load it in pure DOS...

This will often work when mem. or com. errors occurs...

Hope this helps!

If it looks like a cat...

Thanks for that, However I don't think that is the problem due to the plc program size being over 800K. Medoc has to be made to use extended memory somehow????????

If you have the Medoc Icon on your desktop, highlight it then select properties, then select program from properties, then in the CMD Line follow the path.
e.g. c:\medoc2.3\medoc.exe e2 YOU NEED TO TYPE IN THE E2 TO EXPAND THE MEMORY this should sort your problem.
